PAIRING TRANSMITTERS AND RECEIVERS:
Every radio transmitter and receiver must be paired (a.k.a. married or matched) in order to operate together. Systems are paired at the factory before shipment, but if transmitters are mixed, or replacement equipment is used due to loss or damage, the equipment must be paired prior to use. Different radio control models feature different pairing provisions:
1. Tether equipped systems. T-0 and T-1 systems include tether support and tether cables standard. To pair tethered systems, simply connect the tether cable between the transmitter and receiver, power up the receiver, and operate any function on the transmitter.
2. Learn button equipped receivers. Some receivers, such as the popular R-5, feature a button inside the enclosure. To pair learn-button systems, power on the receiver and transmitter, press the learn button, then operate any function on the transmitter.
3. Receivers without tethers or learn buttons will generally enter "learn mode" automatically for a short time on power-up. A specific combination of controls must be operated on the transmitter while the reciever is in learn mode. These systems are custom programmed to customer requirements. Please consult factory for specific instructions for your system. (Customers using Jerr-Dan branded remote controls may refer to the following link: JERR DAN MATCHING)
4. Microlink systems have DIP switches (like the old garage door openers) that need to be matched. Refer to the operating manual for specific instructions: MICROLINK MANUAL
5. Motorlink systems have a new style keyfob equipped with a pushbutton. Refer to the operating manual for specific instructions: MOTORLINK MANUAL
